RESEARCH

Thesis

My thesis centers around a process called retrofitting, in which a diagnostic model is calibrated with non-diagnostic data. I programmed two simulations in R to explore the impacts of this process on item parameters and model fit.

I presented these studies at the annual conference hosted by the National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME) in Chicago in April 2023. The experience was intimidating but unforgettable, and I am honored to have been able to present my own research to experts in my field.

DCMs

Diagnostic classification models (DCMs) are a family of statistical models used for development and analysis of educational assessments. Mostly, I research retrofitting with item response theory data, as well as longitudinal DCMs.

Under Construction: I plan to add a page with a crash course on the basics of what I study and research.
